How to Use Selection Pane in PowerPoint 2016

In this video tutorial, I will show you How to Use the Selection Pane in PowerPoint 2016. When working with multiple elements like text, images and graphics in PowerPoint it can be tricky and messy, especially when you have multiple elements on one slide.

Generally, when this is the case, you would have to move the element out of the way or temporarily delete it. But thankfully, there is a better way to do this in PowerPoint by using the Selection Pane which can be found in the Home tab. Once you select the Selection Pane, you will see a panel in the right-side bar.

In this Selection Pane, it will display all the elements on the slide and provide eye icons for each element. When you click a particular element on the slide, it will highlight that element in the Selection Pane. You can then click on the corresponding eye icon to hide it. This allows you to temporarily hide the element so you can get to other elements on the slide.

Once you’re done, you can click the eye icons again to unhide the hidden elements. In this tutorial, I show you an example of how to use the Selection Pane.
